Initially, she appears to be an petty and cold-hearted top student, who bullies those she feels are inferior to her.

When Belos possesses the Titan's heart and infects the Boiling Isles, Luz sacrifices her life to save the Collector, who becomes remorseful while realizing the fragility and value of life.
